Bulldog Tennis

The Kilgore Bulldog Tennis program continues to be one of the most consistent and respected sports programs in East Texas. Since team tennis was introduced in 1984, Kilgore Bulldogs has never finished lower than third in district, and most often finishes either district champion or district runner up. The program has made the state team tournament twice, and has had players make the state semifinals or state championship six times in the past seven years. Tennis is the only sport that has two official seasons, with team tennis being in the fall and individual tennis played in the spring. There are only 2 months of off season, so tennis players enjoy competing for most of the year. With tennis being a lifetime sport, students have the opportunity to not only play in high school, but can continue to play in local leagues and tournaments as adults.
